'Touch Me Not' among Turin those who win
ROME -- TorinoFilmLab, the Italo co-production mart partially modelled around the Sundance Institute, has introduced those who win of their 4th edition and granted an overall total $691,000 in production gold coin to 5 projects. They're: "Touch Me Not," an initial feature by Romanian helmer Adina Pintilie. Drama about man's requirement for physical contact received the ARTE France Cinema Award since many promising project at Rotterdam's CineMart 2011. "Subterranean Scent," an initial work by Pengfei Song being setup like a France/Taiwan/China co-push, created by Tsai Ming-Liang. "Mr. Kaplan," Uruguayan auteur Alvaro Brechner's followup to well-received debut "Bad Day to visit Fishing." "Beirut, I Really Like You" a memoir by artist and blogger Zena el Khalil from the 2006 attacks on Lebanon. Pic has been developed because the feature debut of Italo documaker Gigi Roccati, to become shot in Lebanon and also the U.S., created by Italy's Vivo Film. "Los Hongos," a pic about graffiti artists in Cali by Colombian helmer Oscar Ruiz Navia whose "Crab Trap" bowed in Toronto last year and unspooled broadly around the fest circuit. The 4th edition from the progressively exclusive ultra-indie mart -- which happens throughout the Turin Film Festival -- ended Tuesday, getting located some 120 participants.
